Royal Geographical Society of South Australia Inc
The RGSSA
is a non-profit geographical society which caters for academic and general public
interests. It was founded in 1886 and is based at the State Library of South
Australia. The Society runs lectures, dinner meetings, excursions, and has a
substantial library about geography, particularly that related to early South
Australian, Australian, and Pacific exploration and white settlement. Student
membership is encouraged. The membership fee is inexpensive, and includes newsletters
and a journal. Contact Dr Meryl Pearce or
Professor Iain Hay for details.
