Postgraduate studies in History

The study of history provides training in highly versatile job-related skills such as research, organisation, oral and written communication and cultural awareness. It fosters critical and analytical abilities essential for problem-solving and decision-making.

Employers increasingly are seeking graduates with critical abilities, which complement the more specialised vocational training in Law, Commerce or Medicine.

History graduates follow diverse career paths in public service and private enterprise.

They enter administration, politics, teaching, health and welfare delivery, libraries and archives, advertising, marketing, travel and tourism, foreign affairs, industry and commerce, academic research, the defence forces, intelligence analysis, law enforcement and the media.
