Comparative imperialism, nineteenth and twentieth century European history,
world history / world systems theory, cultural history.
Research in Progress:
- European relations with and perceptions of the Ottoman Empire prior to World
War One.
- Narratives of German colonialism in film and fiction in the twentieth and
twenty-first centuries.
