Membership of NILS

High Quality, Affordable Help on all Labour Issues

The National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS) at the Flinders University is Australia's pre-eminent national independent research and consultancy service specialising in labour issues.

The Director is Professor Sue Richardson. She leads a highly qualified team of researchers who have an exceptional record of high quality achievement.

The work of NILS covers a broad spectrum of labour issues, including:

  • analysis of labour market developments at national, occupational and regional level

  • industrial relations, especially at the workplace level and award restructuring issues

  • company-based organisational effectiveness and opinion studies, including absenteeism, safety and turnover control.
NILS presently has the following members who play an indispensable role in maintaining the work of the Institute:

      Office for the Commissioner of Public Employment

Membership also confers benefits, including preferential access to:

  • quality consultancy and other services, including surveys, literature search and data analysis
  • quality advice on any labour studies issue from NILS' staff
  • access to NILS' specialist library and bibliographic material

Members receive all NILS' publications free of charge.

Annual membership donation is $770.00 (includes $70 GST).
