Darcy joined the National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS) as a Research Assistant in April 2007 having travelled the globe since finishing university. Prior to joining NILS Darcy worked part-time while undertaking full-time study as a tutor, teaching for the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide, and as a Naval Reserve Sailor, as a musician in the Royal Australian Naval Band – South Australia and as a administration assistant for the Army Chief Legal Officer – Central Region.
