Anna joined the National Institute of Labour Studies (NILS) in 2006 as a Research Assistant. As a member of the NILS Team, Anna assists with the development of tender and grant applications and with research projects by conducting literature reviews, co-authoring commissioned research reports, and collecting and analysing quantitative data. Anna’s recent project work at NILS includes: an assessment of the reasons why some people with vocational and educational training (VET) qualifications and skills are not working in occupations commensurate with those skills; and, a study of the Abu Dhabi labour market including an assessment of the employment opportunities and constraints facing young Emirati nationals. She is also a key researcher in a two-year project investigating resilience in South Australia’s farming families.
Anna is also a Research Associate with the ARC/NHMRC Research Network in Ageing Well, www.ageingwell.edu.au. In this role she assists in developing initiatives for research and capacity building in the area of the ageing workforce.
