Bachelor of Psychology (Hons)

The four year Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree was offered for the first time in 1995.  Students enrolled in this program undertake a concentrated study of the discipline of psychology including pre-professional courses at third and fourth year. The degree has proven to be very popular with prospective students and, in each year since its introduction, the score for admission into the program has been exceptionally high.

Official University figures show that the B.Psych(Hons) course:

  • has one of the highest demands in the University (In 2007 the ratio of preferences 1 and 2 to offers required
was 6.79 compared to a University average of 1.68)
  • very high student progress rates (95% in 2006)
  • very low drop-out rates (5% in 2006)
  • one of the highest rates of student satisfaction, as measured by the Course Evaluation Questionnaire
