How the brain processes information during word recognition. My PhD research has involved an investigation of the spatio-temporal dynamics of the early perceptual and cognitive stages of language processing. This study has enabled me to combine electrophysiological and cognitive interests developed during my MA (oxygen consumption, circadian rhythmicity and sleep) and Honours (semantic priming in lexical decision) research.
