Project
Preventing obesity and disordered eating in upper primary school children: evaluation of a school-based prevention program.
With the prevalence of obesity among children increasing there has been
an emphasis on implementing school-based prevention programs. Recent research
has indicated that while these programs may increase knowledge of healthy
eating habits and the need for exercise they may also, inadvertently,
increase disordered eating. The aim of the present research is to design
and test a program that will target the prevention of both obesity and
disordered eating in children.
