We offer the following courses:
Bachelors of Social Work and Social Planning
This is a double degree program which will equip students to work in a wide range of areas related to the provision of welfare services in a modern society. Graduates will receive two degrees: Bachelor of Social Work; Bachelor of Social Planning.
The Bachelor of Social Work degree is the basic professional qualification required to practice social work. The Flinders BSW is accredited by The Australian Association of Social Workers.
The course is designed to provide a higher degree coursework master’s award following a bachelor’s degree with some social science component or a degree/major in social work.
Graduate Certificate in Loss, Grief and Trauma Counselling
The Graduate Certificate has been designed to offer workers such as social workers, clergy, nurses, teachers and counsellors an opportunity to gain skills and knowledge about helping those experiencing loss, grief and trauma. It provides an opportunity to gain a specific qualification in this area of practice.
PhD and Research Master Degrees
Research degrees are for those interested in a career in research. A research degree involves the preparation of a thesis under the supervision of one or more supervisors. At Flinders there are two degrees:
