Appointed to Flinders in 1981. Major areas of teaching and research are in
Indonesian studies, with research interests in modern Indonesian history; environment
and development in Asia; land tenure, livelihood and the law in Indonesia; community
environment and regional autonomy in reform era Indonesia.
